13th is one of the superior documentaries I’ve seen about American racism. It tends to not play any tricks nor does it rely upon a—for the most part—biased source. It isn’t anything extraordinary or ornamental, but it’s sufficient in avowing the information it needs to transmit and I recommend it to just about anybody in need of exposure to this heinous component of human society. (Verdict: B-)
