I needed to find some way to cleanse myself after watching Godzilla: King of the Monsters, so watching the 1954 original Godzilla seemed appropriate!
A handful of Godzilla’s technicalities and pacing tactics are rather outdated, but it was pleasing to see where the infinitely famous creature originated from. I appreciate how this movie treats Godzilla as if he is the consequence or punishment towards humans for what they have done to Mother Nature overtime. Politics and morality…nice?
Verdict: C+
