May it not be so arguable to instate that The VVitch is but one of thee fairest of directed horror films? Are thy exorcism and thy Black Phillip scenes not but thee bravest in terror history? Aren’t thy performances not the most galvanizing of thou children? Of thou that have pity on those who do see the light and darkness of a family rupturing its wounds apart be punished with grave discipline?
This be not horror. And this be not folktale. No. This be but a drama at its core. Our generation does not deserve such attractive caliber as The VVitch. Thy cannot wait no longer for Robert Egger’s The Lighthouse.
Verdict: A-
Mark Korven’s score is thy best.
“The VVitch” is now available to rent and buy on Amazon Prime, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes, Google Play, and Netflix.
