Now, that’s what I’m talking about, Pedro! The Skin I Live In is a compulsively hooking tale that incrementally became this never-ending horror-coaster of genius intentions. There’s no loose ends, fallacies, or gaping plot holes in the film’s narrative despite the wackadoodle twists that circulate throughout it, and that’s always a gratuity for something that’s meant to appear so complex.
If you crave sickeningly sinister mystery noirs like Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy or David Fincher’s Gone Girl, then I guarantee that you’ll fall infectiously obsessed with Pedro Almodóvar’s The Skin I Live In. It’s fucked up beyond comprehension. Magnífico!
