The endlessly talked about show that set the stone for 21st Century television, The Sopranos is a meta take on the gangster genre that isn’t near overbearing with its changes to the norms. If you mix some serious mommy issues into the pot and top it off with a lot more poignant dissecting of the criminal mind than one would expect, then you have yourselves a pretty gamechanging first season! I like it a lot so far!
