Look, I know that this mellow little Studio Ghibli coming of age movie about a young witch who owns a sassy talking cat and moves out to the city is supposed to rain upon unadulterated wholesomeness for any who devour it, but all this really did for me was trigger a bit of post-traumatic stress from when I used to be a food deliverer. Kiki is truly one of us.
Good writer’s block movie though. Innocence and imagination always prevails, even if you run into it less and less as the days go by.
Verdict: B-
